Regression.
It seems obvious but if you do something a lot, you become good at it. If you do something a lot and then stop doing that something, you become less good at it.
This is what happens when you slack off of your 100 push-ups program for a week. Last week I only performed 1 push-up session and up until then, I had four weeks of strength training which allowed me to perform 130+ push-ups in less than 7 minutes.
Rewind to last night: 85! ONLY 85!?! Ugh. I’ve regressed. I ran 5 km last night and then proceeded to do my Week 4 Level 3 Day 1 push-up session. I couldn’t do that last set. Disgusted with myself.
I will complete Week 4 this week and I will not be a pussy about it.
