Recall how I said I wanted to change things up: running in the morning, running different routes, at different times, etc.
Yesterday I decided to focus on speed-work. Something I don’t normally worry about. I ran a shorter distance but at a much faster pace. I just pushed myself as hard as I could and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was an intense 4 km run that had me breathing heavily at the end. I am going to make it a goal to do this at least once or twice a week.
It’s not all about the distance, sometimes a short burst of energy is all one needs. The autumnal temperatures are helping as well I’m sure. Killing it. :)
